This project involved the complete refurbishment of a top floor penthouse in King Street Wharf. Our design concept was to make an apartment feel like a home. The clients moved from a large property with plenty of farm land around, to a tight urban environment.

Our aim was to provide the kitchen as the central space for the layout where the family and friends could interact during meal preparation. The kitchen can be used for preparation, dining and also as a work space. The main design philosophy was two-fold, the first was to create a dark backdrop as a way to calm the vibrant cityscape outside and, the second, to select materials that reflected the city lights as a way of adding colour and drama to the space without the need for a multitude of materials. Our services included full design and documentation including joinery and lighting as well as being involved during the construction phase.
